What an honor!!!

Sorry that it's been so long since my last post but I've really been waitingto hear from God on just what he'd have me post next. So here it is...

This past Friday nite a group of youth( some of Closer and some kids from Dtown) decided to go ice skating. It was about 10 of us in the Closer group. I, at first, wasn't going to skate but Jordan said "oh come on mom you are skating with us." So I thought this is gonna be quite interesting. First that Im 41 years old and I haven't done this in about 20 years. I got on the ice, and much to my surprise, I could still do it. I even did a little turn and skated backwards too. I didn't have any falls until Ashlyn and Mike decided to come up behind me and speed me up into these 2 little kids. That was it...I busted it...Salem said Look Mrs Paula you have snow all over you. And I did...all down my back side. It was great. I really didn't care, just I was cold now. So I decided to go sit and rest. There was this man watching his 8 year old skate. And this is the question he asked that has really left me thinking. He said to me..."How do you get to hang out with a group of teenagers on a Friday nite?" He said "because I can only hang out with 8 year olds." And I said you know I don't really know how I can get away with it except that it's all God. And I really began to think what an honor and a privledge it is to be able to serve God by serving the youth. I'm so blessed to be able to be a part to their lives butwhat's more amazing is how much they give back to me. Sometimes we get in a rut of life and it all feels mondane, but life is never mondane when you are doing it for the kingdom of God. So always remember that all we do for God is an honor. Never take for granted the mission that God has you on. See Friday nite was just another nite with the youth... I mean I do this all the time ... But when I left there that nite I appreciated even more where God has me right now and how blessed I am to serve him.

In Him
Paula
